# Helpfable

I’m building Helpfable to create and maintain customer help guides from a GitHub repository, so the documentation can follow the product as it changes.

## Project facts

- Format: Customer help · Repository analysis
- My contribution: Product design · Engineering · Applied AI
- Status: In development

## Why I’m building it

A product can change faster than its help guides. Helpfable starts with the repository as evidence for what the product does, with the aim of turning that understanding into clear instructions for customers.

## The intended workflow

An owner connects a supported GitHub repository and manages the guides through conversation. Helpfable is designed to identify relevant product changes and update the affected guides, holding unsupported or ambiguous changes for review.

The initial focus is text guides and a customer help centre. Screenshots, video and personalised walkthroughs are later work.

## Where it stands

The local editing portal, GitHub sign-in and marketing site are implemented. Repository analysis and guide generation have controlled fixture coverage, but live generation, publication and ongoing maintenance are still being qualified. Helpfable is in development.

## Technology stack

- **TypeScript · pnpm**: The shared application workspace and validated guide contracts.
- **Convex · Convex Workflow**: Product data, content provenance and durable guide-generation work.
- **Better Auth · GitHub**: Account sign-in and the repository connection workflow in development.
- **Vite**: The responsive marketing website.
